It’s big enough for you to not need to book a table if you’re a small group and if the weather decides to be decidedly un-British and the sun shines you can work off the spuds with a stroll around London Fields

The Princess Victoria

This upmarket pub offers up some extremely good quality food with a wine menu to match. It might be a little off the beaten track but is well worth making a detour to. I’d even suggest treating yourself to a couple of gin and tonics afterwards in order to hang around for the quiz which offers a rather generous cash prize.

The Windmill

Quite perfectly located next to Clapham common this is a Sunday lunch venue which offers enough to lure you in for a slightly ill advised all day session. Abundant outdoor seating, cosy interior and a menu which will probably induce the odd dribble. Might want to book ahead for this one as it’s understandably very popular!
